Preparation

  1. Heat the sausages in boiling water or steam them.

    Slice the hot dog buns without cutting them all the way through.

    Brown the buns in a pan or under the grill for a few minutes. Place a slice of Mimolette cheese in each warm bun. Add ketchup and mustardas desired.

    Add a sausage to each bun.

    Garnish with pickle slices, chopped red onions and fried onions.

    Sprinkle with fresh basil just before serving.
