16 May 2024

From May 1 to August 30, our Cooperative is celebrating the 80th anniversary of D-Day and the the Battle of Normandy.
But first, a little history. Did you know that the name Isigny Sainte-Mère was born of an alliance between two dairy cooperatives? Those of Isigny-sur-Mer and Sainte-Mère-Église. Two like so many others, at the heart of the Battle of Normandy in June 1944. Severely affected by the fighting and bombing, the two dairy in the years that followed.

Pont l’Évêque A.O.P., Camembert d’Isigny, Beurre et Crème d’Isigny A.O.P. and Petit Vey Isigny Sainte-Mère will be decked out in the colors of the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings… the Cooperative has come up with a limited edition of its iconic products to be discovered from May 1, 2024.
Products to be found in Normandy supermarkets and hypermarkets, as well as at Les Halles and and at the Fromagerie d’Isigny.

To extend the experience, Isigny Sainte-Mère is honoring 8 partner museums in Normandy: the D-Day Experience, the Juno Beach Centre, the Pegasus Memorial and many others… each product purchased, you can get up to €2 off admission to one of the museums participating museums. To finish this article on a sweet note, Caramels d’Isigny is also wearing the colors of the
